Who owns the data we put into Pippin?

You do — always. Your strata corporation retains full ownership of everything uploaded to Pippin. We never sell, share, or monetise your data. If you leave Pippin, your records leave with you.

How is our data protected?

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest — no plaintext storage. Pippin is hosted on enterprise-grade North American cloud infrastructure with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and related certifications. Daily automated backups protect against accidental loss.

Where is our data stored?

Pippin uses a major North American cloud provider with redundant storage across multiple data centres. Specific provider names and data residency details are available on request.

Who can access our building's information?

Access is role-based. Strata managers see their assigned buildings. Council members see their building's documents and votes. Owners only see information relevant to their own unit. Every action is logged in a permanent audit trail.

How does Pippin use AI with our data?

AI helps your strata manager work more efficiently — reading emails, classifying requests, drafting responses, and summarising issues. Your documents and records are never used to train AI models. AI only sees data within your building's tenant, and most actions require human confirmation before anything is sent.

Will Pippin sell or share our data?

No. Pippin does not sell, trade, rent, or distribute identifiable strata or personal data. We only access your data to operate the service and provide support.

What happens to our data if we cancel?

You get a full export of all documents, issue history, meeting records, and communications. After the export period, your data is permanently deleted from our systems. There are no lock-in penalties.

Can we get more detail on your security practices?

Yes — on request we can provide cloud provider identity, data residency details, encryption standards, incident response policy, and offboarding and data-deletion policies. There is no question we'll decline to answer. Email us at privacy@pippin-ai.com.
